Nature Travel Africa

Nature Travel Africa is the Africa-focused arm of the Nature Travel Group, founded by South African birder Nick Buys to run guided safaris and birding expeditions across the continent. The company operates scheduled small-group and bespoke private itineraries covering southern, eastern, and central Africa plus Madagascar and the Indian Ocean islands. Flagship birding programmes include a 14-day Madagascar tour targeting more than 130 endemic and near-endemic species across ground rollers, mesites, vangas, couas, and asities, alongside expeditions to harder-to-reach destinations such as the Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, and Ghana. Mammal and conservation safaris run in parallel through Botswana, Namibia, and the East African parks. Nature Travel Africa is one of several specialist brands under the Nature Travel Group umbrella, which also includes Nature Travel Birding, Nature Travel Namibia, Nature Travel Active, and Nature Travel Expeditions.
