WILEX Tours (Wildlife Experience Tours) is a small wildlife and birding outfit operating across the green north of Spain, run by guide Pablo Perez out of the Basque Country and neighbouring Cantabria. The company's flagship product is a weeklong tour of the Cantabrian Cordillera and the Picos de Europa, designed for travellers who want serious wildlife watching combined with culture, mountain biking, horse riding and rural Spanish gastronomy rather than a pure species-chase. Birding highlights focus on the high mountain ridges and limestone cliffs of northern Spain, with Wallcreeper, Lammergeier and a full cast of vultures as headline species, complemented by Atlantic-influenced forests rich in woodpeckers.
