About

WildWings is one of the longest-established wildlife tour operators in the United Kingdom, based in Surbiton, Surrey, and has been running guided birding trips and expedition cruises for more than two decades. Polar voyages to Antarctica are a signature, and the company holds ABTOT and ATOL financial protection. The portfolio spans the Arctic, Antarctica, Africa, Asia, Australasia, Central and South America, North America, and both northern and southern Europe. WildWings has carved out a particular niche in deep-ocean seabirding, including rare voyages to the Pitcairn group (Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno) to target Henderson Petrel and other little-seen Central Pacific tubenoses, and the multi-week Atlantic Odyssey from Ushuaia through South Georgia, Tristan da Cunha, Saint Helena, Ascension and the Cape Verde Islands. These are considered among the ultimate pelagic itineraries available to amateur birders. The operator recently merged with Limosa Holidays, broadening its land-based birding programme. Trips are led by professional ornithologists and naturalists, with a focus on hard-to-reach destinations rather than easy weekend birding, and the office in Long Ditton handles logistics for what are often complex, ship-based expeditions.
