About

Wildlife Connection is a Puerto Vallarta-based wildlife operator running guided trips around Banderas Bay and the surrounding tropical dry forest of coastal Jalisco. Their birding tours are led by working biologists and pair easily-accessible coastal birding with day trips inland to El Tuito and the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental, and longer add-ons north to the legendary San Blas mangroves in Nayarit. Bird-watching is one of several specialties for the company, which also runs whale-watching, dolphin and turtle-camp programmes, but their bird itineraries pull in the western-Mexico endemics that draw birders to this corner of the country: Military Macaw, Lilac-crowned Parrot, Citreoline Trogon, Russet-crowned Motmot and Black-throated Magpie-Jay. The operator is run from offices in Marina Vallarta and Las Aralias.
