Wilderness Birding Adventures is a family-run Alaskan operator that has been running small-group birding and wildlife expeditions since 1986. Based in Alaska and staffed by guides who live and raise their families in the state, the company specialises in remote and logistically demanding destinations rather than the standard road-system birding circuits. Their tour roster covers Alaska's signature birding hotspots, including Gambell and Nome for Asian vagrants and breeding shorebirds, the Pribilof Islands for seabirds and Asian strays, Adak for the western Aleutians, Utqiagvik (Barrow) for Arctic specialities, and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for tundra breeders.
