Undiscovered Montenegro

Undiscovered Montenegro is a UK-run nature holiday company based in Lake Skadar National Park, operating from the restored Villa Miela on the hillside above the village of Virpazar. The company has pioneered low-impact birding holidays around the lake, one of Europe's top five sites for migratory birds and home to a globally important breeding colony of Dalmatian Pelicans. The flagship offering is a 7-day birdwatching holiday combining boat-based observation of the pelican colony with excursions into surrounding wetlands, mountains and coastal habitats. The operator works closely with Lake Skadar National Park staff on conservation-minded itineraries and is one of the few outfits offering dedicated multi-day birding programmes in Montenegro.
