About

Tropical Feathers is a 100% Costa Rican, owner-operated birding company run by Noel Ureña, who studied Ecotourism and Environmental Management at Hocking College and has been guiding nature trips since 1997. He is the founder, organizer, and compiler of the Fila Costera Bird Count, an annual citizen-science survey on the Pacific slope. The company offers tailor-made trips for individuals and small groups, with itineraries built around target species, photography, and Costa Rica's regional endemics. Noel often guides alongside his brother Carlos, and the team handles accommodations, meals, and transport in addition to the guiding itself.
