Tanager Tours

Tanager Tours is a Cusco-based bird and butterfly tour operator founded in late 1999 by Dutch naturalist Wim ten Have. From its base in the southern Peruvian Andes, the company runs tailor-made and set-departure trips across Peru and to other South American destinations, with a particular focus on the Manu Road, the Cusco endemics circuit and Machu Picchu cloud-forest birding. The outfit pitches itself as a 'leading tour operator for birding trips, cultural-bird tours and butterfly tours' at competitive prices, with an international team of drivers and guides. After more than 25 years of continuous operation, Tanager Tours is one of the longer-established small operators in Cusco and is regularly cited in trip reports for the Manu and Abra Malaga regions.
