About

Swallow Birding is a birdwatching and wildlife holiday company established in 2006 as a joint venture between Annette Adams and Steve Grimwade. The operation is based near the saltmarsh coast of East Anglia, England, and has spent roughly two decades running tours for clients ranging from complete beginners to seasoned listers. The company combines a busy programme of UK day trips and weekend breaks, particularly across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Kent, with longer escorted holidays in continental Europe and further afield. International itineraries include spring on the polders in the Netherlands, autumn raptor migration in southern Sweden, Baltic spring birding in Estonia, the steppes of Extremadura, the Canary Island endemics of Fuerteventura, and winter sunbirds and sea eagles in Goa. Groups are kept small to suit a personal style of guiding, and Swallow Birding also operates birding voyages on a traditional Thames sailing barge. The company markets itself under the banner "great value, great fun, great wildlife," and is a member of the Tour Operators' Protective Panel (TOPP).
