Stephen Menzie

Stephen Menzie is a Liverpool-born birder and ornithologist based in Malmo, Sweden, best known as Editor of British Birds, a member of the British Birds Rarities Committee, and a ZEISS Ambassador. From 2020 to 2023 he managed the Falsterbo Bird Observatory, one of Europe's premier migration hotspots, and his identification expertise focuses on moult, ageing and difficult Western Palearctic taxa. Menzie leads private tours and guides for WINGS Birding Tours, with regular trips to Morocco, Oman, and Scandinavian migration sites among other Western Palearctic destinations.
