About

Solipaso is the long-running birding outfit of French ornithologist Manuel Grosselet and Mexican biologist Georgita Ruiz, based in Teotitlan del Valle in the Oaxaca Valley. The pair are conservation researchers as well as guides, and the company has been running custom and small-group tours through the avian-rich states of Mexico for more than fifteen years. The house menu pairs Veracruz with Oaxaca on a one-way trip from coffee plantations and cloud forest at Cofre de Perote down through Lake Catemaco to the dry valley and Sierra Norte cloud forest of Oaxaca, and adds dedicated extensions to El Triunfo in Chiapas for Horned Guan, plus Sumichrast's Wren and Nava's Wren on the Veracruz-Oaxaca border. Trips run in English, Spanish and French.
