About
Saskatoon Custom Bird Tours is a guided birding operation based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, led by long-time local birder Stan Shadick. The tours are run as a fundraising arm of Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation, a registered Canadian environmental charity, with all proceeds after expenses supporting the rehab of injured and orphaned prairie wildlife.
Seasonal offerings span the Saskatchewan birding calendar: dancing grouse leks in spring, breeding prairie birds in summer, Whooping Crane staging in autumn, and Snowy Owls and Great Gray Owls in winter. The team also runs Zoom-based bird-ID workshops and tailors private itineraries for visitors targeting prairie pothole, grassland and boreal specialties.
