About

Real Cuba is a Cuba-based eco-tourism outfit offering guided nature trips across the island's varied micro-climates — cloud forest, dry coastal scrub, wetlands, open plains and karst valleys — pairing ornithologist-led birding with garden, agriculture, walking, cycling and snorkelling extensions. Tour design is centred on Eastern, Central and Western Cuba, with bespoke itineraries built around client interests. Birding clients can target the bulk of Cuba's 26 endemics, including the diminutive Bee Hummingbird (the world's smallest bird), Cuban Tody, Cuban Trogon, Cuban Solitaire and the Zapata Swamp specialties such as Zapata Wren and Fernandina's Flicker. Trips are pitched as life-list builders and broader natural-history adventures rather than mass-market beach holidays.
