About

Partnership for International Birding (PIB) is a US–UK birding tour operator run by Charles Thornton-Kolbe (Denver, Colorado) and Jennifer De Souza (Suffolk, England). The company offers worldwide tours across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania, working with vetted local guides in each destination rather than rotating Western tour leaders. A signature feature is the company's conservation tie-in: PIB purchases roughly three to four acres of wilderness for bird conservation on behalf of every booking. Flagship North American programmes include the Magee Marsh spring warbler migration and the prairie pothole/boreal Yellow Rail circuit through North Dakota and northern Minnesota.
