About

NT Bird Specialists is a Darwin-based birding and photography tour operation owned and run by Luke Paterson and Sarah Burgess. Paterson has been guiding professionally in the Top End since 2001 and is one of Australia's most highly regarded local guides for the region's endemic and near-endemic birds. The company runs tours from one day up to 20 days, covering Darwin's coastal habitats, Kakadu National Park's sandstone country, Pine Creek and Katherine for finch flocks, and the wider Top End and East Kimberley for Black Grasswren and Kimberley Honeyeater. The company has also expanded to international itineraries to Sri Lanka and Sabah.
