Nature Travel Bulgaria

Nature Travel is a bird-photography and birding outfit based in Ognyanovo village near Varna in north-eastern Bulgaria, operating purpose-built photo hides and guided trips in two of the country's richest regions: Suha Reka in the north-east and the Eastern Rhodopes in the south-east. The operation focuses on photographic access to colourful Mediterranean and steppe species such as European Bee-eater, Roller, Hoopoe, and Golden Oriole, plus vulture restaurants and woodpecker hides in old-growth forest. They also run dedicated stone-marten and raptor photography sessions outside of the bird-migration calendar. Services bundle hide access with on-site accommodation and meals, with the same family running both the lodging and the guiding. Operating area is limited to Bulgaria, with deep specialisation in two micro-regions rather than country-wide coverage.
