About
Malia Birding (CV. Malia Tours) is an Indonesian operator founded in 2010 and headquartered in Palu, Central Sulawesi. The company is named after Malia grata, a grasshopper-warbler endemic to Sulawesi, and is led by founder Nurlin Djuni alongside a team of more than ten core guides drawn from across the archipelago.
Malia runs birding, wildlife photography and herping itineraries throughout Indonesia, with particular strength in Sulawesi and Halmahera and a long-standing partner network in West Papua, the Lesser Sundas and the Moluccas. Tours are arranged on request in a wide range of European and Asian languages, and the operator covers everything from comfort-grade lodge trips to lower-cost public-transport itineraries.
