Madagascar Birding Expeditions is a Maroantsetra-based outfit run by Joseph Raveloson, a Malagasy guide with roughly twenty years of experience in the rainforests of north-eastern Madagascar. The operation is the natural choice for birders making the Masoala Peninsula extension, with custom trips into Masoala, Nosy Mangabe, Makira, and the rivers and lowland forests around Maroantsetra. A minimum of ten percent of profits is reinvested in conservation and local communities.
