Gonzalo Horna - Panama Bird Guide

Gonzalo Horna is a certified Panamanian bird guide who has been working central Panama and its lowland and highland fringes since 1997. A former owner-operator of Sierra Llorona Panama Lodge, he developed a distinctive Birding by Boat day tour to access the freshwater avifauna of the Panama Canal basin and works closely with the Embera Quera indigenous community on a community-based birding tourism programme. He guides both individuals and groups across classic Panama hotspots including Pipeline Road, the Darien lowlands and Chiriqui highlands, with a TripAdvisor track record of around 99 reviews. Beyond birds his interests extend to butterflies, mammals and insects, and he is an active member of the Panama Audubon Society. Tours are offered in English and Spanish.
