About

FNQ Nature Tours is a Cairns-based small-group wildlife and birding operator focused on the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The company holds exclusive guide-access permits to the privately managed Shared Earth Reserve, a 5,000-acre property of lagoons, trails and bird hides in the Mareeba Savannah, and runs regular shared and private day tours from Cairns into the Daintree, the Atherton Tablelands and the Crater Lakes. The Wet Tropics region holds more than 450 recorded bird species, including 13 endemics, and FNQ Nature Tours typically reports 50-80 species on a single-day birding trip. The company also runs multi-day Far North Queensland birding itineraries with target-species consultations before each trip.
