Experience the Wild

Experience the Wild is a Darwin-based bird and nature tour operator focused exclusively on the Top End of the Northern Territory. Now owned by Ian McKerrow (since 2022), the company runs very small-group itineraries ranging from half-day Darwin trips through to eight-day expeditions covering Kakadu, Pine Creek, Katherine, Timber Creek and Litchfield. The operation holds a Kakadu Tour Operator Licence (Permit CK 998) and a Parks and Wildlife NT Tour Operator Licence (Permit 956), is a member of Wildlife Tourism Australia, and supports the Australian Wildlife Conservancy and BirdLife Australia. Tours emphasise low-impact, indigenous-respectful guiding across monsoon forest, savannah woodland, mangrove and wetland habitats of the Top End.
