Ecotours Hungary

Ecotours Hungary (ecotours.hu) was founded in 1997 to promote Hungary as an ecotourism destination, and has since grown into a wider Eastern European specialist with departures across roughly a dozen countries in the region, plus selected programmes in Latin America, Asia and Africa. The company is led by a licensed zoologist-naturalist guide couple working with a network of local specialists. Flagship Hungarian itineraries focus on the puszta grasslands of Hortobágy and Kiskunság for Great Bustard, Saker Falcon and Aquatic Warbler, complemented by woodpecker and owl tours in the Bükk and Aggtelek karst. Photography, butterfly, dragonfly and general natural-history trips run alongside the dedicated bird departures.
