About
The Ecological Travel Center (ETC) was founded in 1998 by graduates of Moscow State University with the support of the Russian Biodiversity Conservation Center. The Moscow-based operator specialises in birding, wildlife and wilderness expeditions across the full breadth of Russia, from the Altai Mountains and Lake Baikal to Kamchatka, the Volga and Lena deltas, and the Kola Peninsula.
Their flagship birding programs include 'Listening to the Sky' across the Ukok Plateau and Lake Teletskoye in the Altai, Volga delta migration tours, and expeditions to the Russian Arctic and Commander Islands. Tours are run in English and Russian and target a wide range of Palearctic specialities including endemic and rare species such as Altai Snowcock and Ross's Gull.
ETC also runs photo tours, fishing trips and select international programs to South Africa, Nepal and other destinations.
