About
Birdwatching Breaks is a long-established UK operator now in its 39th year, run by Mark and Jo Finn from Cygnus House on the Black Isle in northern Scotland, overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Their core programme focuses on Scotland but the worldwide schedule reaches far further, with regular departures in Japan (including February dates targeting Japanese Murrelet), Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, South Africa, Arctic Canada and Ireland.
The Armenia tour is a flagship itinerary, taking in Yerevan, the forested Dilijan region with breeding Semi-collared and Red-breasted Flycatchers, and the Armenian Gull colonies at Lake Sevan. Across all destinations the company emphasises small groups led by top regional guides and a friendly, traditional touring style developed over three decades.
