Birding With Gregg

Birding With Gregg is the solo guiding business of Gregg Severson, a Minneapolis-based birder who specializes in northern Minnesota's boreal habitats. His core product is winter guiding at Sax-Zim Bog — North America's premier site for Great Gray Owl, Northern Hawk Owl and the irruptive boreal finches and woodpeckers that draw visiting birders north each year. Summer trips swing toward the bog's breeding specialties (Connecticut Warbler, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, LeConte's Sparrow) and extend on request to Duluth, the Lake Superior North Shore and the Superior National Forest. Severson runs custom day trips rather than fixed-departure tours.
