About
Birding South India operates the Eldhose Birding Lodge and Resorts in Thattekad, Kerala, at the edge of the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary — long regarded as one of India's premier endemic-hunting grounds. Tours range across the southern Western Ghats, linking the lowland evergreen forest of Thattekad with the tea-country highlands of Munnar and the shola-grassland ecosystem of Eravikulam National Park.
The program is built around the cluster of Western Ghats endemics — Kerala, Wynaad, and Nilgiri Laughingthrushes, Malabar Parakeet, Black-and-orange Flycatcher, and Malabar Trogon — and routinely tallies 40-plus regional specialties on multi-day itineraries.
