About
Founded in 2015, Birding Netherlands has grown into the country's leading guided birding and photography tour organizer, with a team of experienced Dutch guides covering the full sweep of habitats from the Wadden Sea islands to the southern heathlands. Tours range from short layover trips near Schiphol to multi-day itineraries covering Zeeland's estuaries, the polders of Flevoland, and the migration hotspots of Texel.
The operation is staffed by a roster of well-known Dutch field birders — Hans Overduin, Joost Bouwmeester, Marcel Klootwijk, Marko Oudenaarden, Menno van Duijn, Rein Genuit, Vincent van der Spek, and Wouter Rohde — many of whom contribute trip reports and rare-bird coverage. Photography-focused tours and cross-border trips into Belgium are also part of the lineup.
