Birding Indonesia

Birding Indonesia is a Jakarta-rooted travel outfit that has been operating across the Indonesian archipelago since 2001 and running dedicated birdwatching tours since 2008. The team has logged more than a hundred trips through the country's far-flung islands and offers itineraries spanning Java-Bali, the Lesser Sundas, West Papua, Borneo, the South Moluccas, Sulawesi-Halmahera and Sumatra. Programmes range from classic bird tours to mammal-focused trips, orchid tours, beginner-friendly open trips and customised expeditions. Headline targets include the birds of paradise of West Papua, Bali Myna, Javan Banded Pitta, Standardwing Bowerbird and Sulawesi's Maleo, with local-language fluency and long-running logistics across remote regions as key strengths.
