Birding Experience

Birding Experience is a Quito-based Latin American specialist run as part of the Nature Experience Group. From its Ecuadorian headquarters it runs a deep slate of birding tours across the Neotropics, including a full Bolivian programme that covers Lake Titicaca, the Yungas, Salar de Uyuni, Madidi, Amboro and Noel Kempff Mercado. For Bolivia, the company emphasises that as a less-touristed country it is often the easier place to get clean looks at endemic and near-endemic Andean species compared to surrounding countries, and structures most of its tours around the two endemic macaws and the Cochabamba area's restricted-range birds. Trips are run with private transport and bilingual or trilingual guides; English is standard and French is offered for European groups. Bookings are handled centrally from Quito.
