About

Birding Brazil Tours is a Brazil-focused operator founded around 2012 by South American ornithologist and tour leader Andrew Whittaker, drawing on nearly two decades of in-country guiding experience. The company combines field-savvy birders with a professional office team to plan and run trips for visiting birders and ornithologists. Their itineraries span all six of Brazil's principal biomes, from the Amazon and Atlantic Forest to the Pantanal, Cerrado, Caatinga and Pampa, with an emphasis on rare and range-restricted species. Trip reports highlight specialties such as Rufous Potoo, Dark-winged Trumpeter and a long list of regional endemics.
