About

Birding Aragón is a regional ornithological-tourism initiative based in the Spanish autonomous community of Aragón, organising guided birdwatching trips and ecotourism stays designed by and for active birders. Operating out of the Hoya de Huesca area at the foot of the Pyrenees, the team covers Aragón's full habitat range from the steppes of Monegros and the wetlands of the Ebro valley to high-altitude Pyrenean forests and cliffs. With more than 300 species recorded across the region, signature targets include the cliff-nesting Bearded Vulture and Wallcreeper, the steppe larks and sandgrouse of Monegros, and migrating cranes and bee-eaters. The agency is supported by the Government of Aragón and EU FEADER rural-development funding, and runs in Spanish, English and French.
