Bird Tour China

Bird Tour China, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan, is one of the country's longest-running birding tour operators. Kevin Zhong, an award-winning bird photographer, is the primary guide, and the team runs scheduled and bespoke itineraries across nearly every major birding region of China — Sichuan, Yunnan, Qinghai, Tibet, the eastern coast, Hainan, Guangxi, Xinjiang and the Northeast. Pheasants are a hallmark: tours regularly target 15 or more pheasant species, alongside Tibetan plateau specialties like Przevalski's Finch and Sichuan Jay. Mammal-watching extensions add Snow Leopard, Golden Snub-nosed Monkey, and Tibetan Antelope. The company partners with international birding operators for joint departures.
