Benny Jacobs-Schwartz

Benny 'BIJS' Jacobs-Schwartz is a Los Angeles-based birder who guides under the brand BIRDS by BIJS, offering private guiding and small group outings across Southern California habitats from coast to desert. He combines strong sight-and-sound field skills with high-end optics and runs an active social media presence focused on bird education. In addition to local LA-area trips, he leads and co-leads international birding tours across the Neotropics, including Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Brazil and Jamaica. He guides in English and Spanish.
