Archaeopteryx Birding and Nature Tours

Archaeopteryx Birding and Nature Tours is a small Central Florida-based operator co-led by Rebecca Smith and Gallus Quigley, both biologists with backgrounds in bird banding and monitoring. Their flagship product is a multi-day Florida Keys and Dry Tortugas trip aimed at spring migrants, breeding seabirds at the Tortugas and the south Florida specialities of the Everglades and Miami metro. The pair split roles in a way that suits both serious listers and broader nature travellers: Gallus runs the target-species checklist work while Rebecca rounds out the experience with butterflies, photography and natural history interpretation. They run trips throughout Florida and occasionally further afield.
