About
Andean Birding is a Quito-based operator that has been guiding birding tours across the Neotropics for more than two decades. Founded by ornithologist Charlie Vogt and including Swedish birder Roger Ahlman among its team, the company runs trips across roughly six countries — Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico and Guyana — with their home turf in the Ecuadorian Andes and Amazon being the deepest area of expertise.
Their Guyana programme pairs the southern Rupununi savannahs with the Kaieteur Falls and the Iwokrama rainforest, while Ecuadorian itineraries cover the country's full elevational range and 1,600-plus bird list. The company holds memberships with the Neotropical Bird Club, the Neotropical Ornithological Society, the American Birding Association and BirdLife International.
