Alec Earnshaw

Alec Earnshaw is a Buenos Aires-based bird photographer and local guide who runs FotosAves, a long-standing bilingual (English/Spanish) reference site documenting Argentine birdlife. He guides visiting birders around Ribera Norte Nature Reserve and the wider Buenos Aires hotspots, and supplies maps, site plans, and species lists for day-trip birding in the metropolitan region. His FotosAves project catalogues photographs of more than a thousand Argentine species across every major order, giving him an unusually deep familiarity with the avifauna of the central pampas, riverine forests of the Río de la Plata, and the lagoons north of the city. Tours are typically day-trips tailored to the visiting birder's target list.
