About

AK Wildlife Cruises is a Falmouth-based wildlife-charter operator running boat trips out of Falmouth Premier Marina across the Carrick Roads estuary and offshore into the Celtic Sea. Captain Keith, with over 40 years of boating experience, leads cruises ranging from three-hour estuary outings to dedicated all-day pelagic trips. The birding programme is built around two seasons: winter divers, grebes, scoter, and red-breasted merganser flocks inside the Carrick Roads where 50-species days are routine, and summer pelagics targeting Manx Shearwater, Storm Petrel (with the chance of Wilson's), skuas, and large auk concentrations that are essentially unreachable from shore. Trips combine seabirds with cetacean and basking-shark sightings, and the operation is a multi-award-winning fixture of the Cornish wildlife-tourism scene.
